Beautiful :)

I think beautiful means invaluable things that are different for different people. First, I think people who challenge themselves to accomplish their goals and don’t give up are beautiful. I have even made a video. My video was about a named Kwansun Yu. I introduced her as the most beautiful girl, because she fought for her country and didn’t give up the fighting. Second, memories are beautiful. Many people take pictures and write letters. Like pictures and letters are memories. When I left Korea, my friends gave me an album had short letters beside each pictures. I was almost crying. I realized that an album is not a thing that just keeps pictures. It is a beautiful book that shows our precious memories of old days. Thirdly, I think love is beautiful. When we see people who love each other or give love to other people, they look so happy. Love makes people change and smiled. And love has strong power that can do manythings. Some poeple can devote their whole life to something that they love. Other poeple can change completely. In a movie ‘A Walk to Remember’, Landon who loves Jamie changed his whole life for Jamie, and although it is short time, they love each other beautifully. Although there are many beautiful things or people in the whole, there three things are the most beautiful thing to me. :)

Surviving in the new environment

I know a person who survived something that was very difficult. She was very brave, and she became one of the influential persons in my life. She is my sister, Chaerim Lee. First, when we went to the airport, I couldnt; look her face. My sister and my mother was crying. In 2004, my sister whent to the U.S.A as an exchange student. It was the first timemy sister had left our home for a year. When she arrived in Indiana, the U.S.A, she was only Korean. She met her host family who sh would live with for a year. She was not good at Engilsh, so she said only “Yes or No” at first time. She didn’t know anything about school in the U.S.A or the life style there. Nobody can speak Korea, so she had to speak English only. Sometimes, she calle dto home and said that she wanted to go back to Korea. But she didn’t give up. After few months, she adjusted to her life in the U.S.A, and she made many friends. Whenever sh talked on the phone, she told me about her days, and all her days sounded very interesting. She could speak English well, and it was not hard to live in the U.S anymore. Finally, she survived life in the U.S.A. She told me that she always got help from teachers, counselors, and many people who were around her. And whenever sh was wanted to give up, she thought parents who are working hard and are worried about her. It was hard to survive in another country and place where she didn’t anybody and anything and without family. However, she tried to ask her problems to many people.  She survived, and it will be a valubale lessons in her life.
